Ben Affleck has gone from what seemed to be a dead career in the early 00′s to becoming one of Hollywood’s most promising directors in a very short span. Gone Baby Gone is a fantastic little film, and The Town is ambitious and fun, so it’s nice to see him returning to the directors seat so soon for Argo. If you don’t know, Argo is the tale of a real life operation to save American hostages, by pretending they were making a sci-fi movie. Even comic master Jack Kirby got in on the game. It’s a fascinating tale of the government using Hollywood to their advantage to save lives, and the film looks like it strikes a good balance between humor and drama. This is one to keep an eye on, folks.
